1. •Activities to promote the regional trademark: Linking and supporting the activities already available in the region with the “Delta of Civilizations” trademark... Implementation of new activities: Inclusion of municipality festivals in the scope of Festival Meandros…

  2. •Promotional Materials: Preparation and distribution of promotional materials such as brochures, books and maps in five languages under the common title of “Delta of Civilization Meandros”. (These works have been initiated immediately due to the urgent needs in the region.) Books entitled “Didim” and “Soke” are under preparation with Didim Municipality and Soke Municipality respectively for the EMITT 2008 Fair. They will be the first of the series of publications prepared in common format supporting the regional trademark.

  3. •Design and implementation of sample models for Culture and Nature Themed Tourism: Implementation of “Boutique Hotel” examples in Didim and in Kemalpaşa Mahallesi in Soke in association with the Tourism Vocational High School of Adnan Menderes University (ADU). Planning and implementation of Culture Trips in association with ADU Didim Vocational High School.

  4. •Ecological Agricultural Products: Support of the ecological olive production around Bafa Lake with the regional trademark and transforming the products into tourism products… Determination and introduction of local flavours of the region which tend to be forgotten in association with the Culinary Department of ADU Didim Vocational High School.

  5. •Academic and scientific activities: Organisation of publications and symposiums on Tourism with ADU and 9 Eylül University and on Archaeology and Arts with Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

  6. •Programmes targeting children of the region in association with the ÇEKÜL Foundation: “Cities Belong to Children” and “Ambassadors of Culture” programmes.




  10. •Souvenirs, carpets and rugs: Supporting available activities with “Regional Motifs”. For example, the “Meander Figure” is being implemented by the Carpet and Rug Workshop at the Güllübahçe Municipality. Provision of support to products produced using the developed regional motifs (improved cooperation among municipalities is desired). Talks with People Education Centres are underway.

  11. •Setting up cameras at important spots in the region (such as ancient cities, the delta etc.) in association with AKER Group and broadcasting on the internet…
