Meandros, Delta of Civilizations” that is an unmatched geography where have been met ancient cities like Didyma, Milet, Priene, Magnesia, Myus, Herakleia which have common and historical relations for 3.000 years, around the Delta of Great Meandros (Turkish: Menderes, Antique: Meander, Meandros or Maiandros); cultural values like Doganbey, Gelebec, Akkoy, Yoran; natural beauties like Bafa Lake National Park and Dilek Peninsula.
The meeting excitement of nature, history and art will be experienced every parts of the unique geography in a series facility during a mounth that will be hold in Forum Meandros, like Didyma Stone Sculpture Symposium, Musica Meandrum Concerts, Meandros Photography Camp and Step by Step Cultural Trips of Civilizations’ Delta.

The aim of the Ist Didyma International Stone Sculpture Semposium which is held by Didyma Municipality is to lay a bridge between the historical structure of civilisation delta which is a cradle of art and science, to offer an information sharing field to artists who have different experience process and who live in different countries, to get habitants and artists together and to gain Didim an aggravated and contemporary artistic work.
Therefore, Selective Committee gives priority to the projects taken up references historical and cultural bygone of region while evaluating applications for participation.

The Temple of Apollo; which was recontructed at the instance of Alexander the Great, is a world famous center of prophecy with its great examples of archaic statue art, the Medusa bas-reliefs and its workmanship.
Ancient village Yoran (old village of Didim) have resisted against the time from past to present with its bakehouse, cafes and stone buildings that is trying to survive in the archeological protected area environs of the temple.
Yoran that is being on its way to becoming an art village, will host during one month both the artificers and the sculptures being
exhibited among the streets.
